Frequently asked questions.
Getting Started
What services do you offer?
Moon Migration Co. is a boutique travel advising agency specializing in sun-destination escapes for women, queer/LGBTQ+, and BIPOC travelers. We plan everything from solo getaways and cultural trips to custom road trips and group sailings — tailored to help you find your season of joy in the sun.
How do I get started?
Head to the Work With Me page and fill out the intake form with your travel interests, dates, and a bit about you. From there, we'll follow up with a proposal tailored to what you're looking for — no discovery call required unless you'd like one.
What makes Moon Migration Co. different?
We build every trip around identity-affirming, inclusive travel — places and experiences where you can show up fully as yourself. Less snow, more glow.
What's your pricing model?
No hidden fees, no planning fee, no surprises. I work on commission from our travel suppliers, so my pricing is completely transparent — quotes come straight from what the trip actually costs. You only pay for the trip itself.
How can I contact you?
Email tiffany@moonmigrationco.com anytime - we’re happy to answer questions before, during, or after you book.
Good to Know Before You Book
Who am I actually booking with?
Moon Migration Co. acts as your travel advisor and agent — we help plan, recommend, and book your trip, but the airlines, hotels, cruise lines, and other suppliers involved are independent companies, not part of Moon Migration Co. We are not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, delays, cancellations, or negligence of these suppliers, or any resulting injury, damage, or expense. Each supplier's own terms and conditions govern your booking, so we always encourage you to review cancellation and refund policies carefully. Any legal recourse regarding a supplier issue is against that specific supplier, not Moon Migration Co.
What if my flight, hotel, or cruise gets delayed, cancelled, or overbooked?
We have no liability and cannot issue a refund for delays, cancellations, overbooking, strikes, travel restrictions, force majeure, or other events beyond our direct control. This is exactly why we always recommend travel insurance — it's the safety net for the things none of us can control.
Do I need a passport or visa?
If you're a U.S. citizen traveling outside the United States, you'll need a valid U.S. passport — most destinations require it to be valid at least 6 months past your return date, with at least two blank pages. Some countries also require a visa for transit or entry. All names on your travel documents must exactly match your passport or government-issued photo ID. It's your responsibility to confirm requirements for your destination(s) at travel.state.gov. If you're not a U.S. citizen, check with the embassy or consulate of your destination and any transit countries.
What about COVID-19 or other health requirements?
Travel carries inherent health risks, and each traveler should assess their own comfort level. We're not responsible for health-related requirements that suppliers or governments impose. Check the latest CDC and State Department guidance before you travel, and confirm requirements for both entry and your return to the U.S. Any additional costs tied to health requirements are your responsibility.
Should I get travel insurance?
Yes — travel insurance is always recommended, whether or not you book it through us. It can help cover trip cancellation and interruption, emergency medical expenses and transportation, lost or delayed baggage, trip delay, and more, including a supplier going out of business. If you decline coverage, you're responsible for your own arrangements for these risks and won't be protected in the event of a supplier default.
What should I know about flights and getting to the airport?
Reconfirm your flight details with the airline before departure. Plan to check in at least 2 hours before a domestic flight and 3 hours before an international flight, and arrive at your gate at least 30 minutes prior — with extra time for security. TSA requires a government-issued photo ID matching your ticket exactly (name, date of birth, gender); mismatches can result in denied boarding or delays.
Will my flight be sprayed with insecticide?
Some destinations require it. Depending on your route, your flight may be subject to insecticide spraying before departure or in-flight. Federal law requires we point you to the DOT's disinfection information: transportation.gov/airconsumer/spray.
Can a supplier refuse to serve me?
Yes — suppliers can refuse service at their discretion, including in cases involving improper documentation, contagious illness, being under the influence, or disruptive behavior. We're not liable for a supplier's decision to refuse service.
Can prices change after I've booked?
Sometimes. Suppliers or governments can impose price increases after purchase — for fuel surcharges, taxes, or exchange rate shifts. By booking with us and your travel partners, you agree your card may be charged for these additional amounts if they arise.
How do I agree to these terms?
Your proposal and/or itinerary will include a note asking you to confirm all details — names, dates, destinations, pricing — before moving forward. When you submit your credit card authorization for payment, you're confirming you've reviewed that information and agreeing to these terms. This can happen electronically or through your continued use of our services and payment of your invoice.
A note on imagery:
The destination and travel photos we create ourselves — including trip footage and content from our own travelers — are real, captured by real photographers and real people, never AI-generated. Some imagery on this site comes from our travel partners and suppliers; we can't personally verify how every partner asset was created, but we choose partners we trust to represent their destinations honestly.
